Carolin Janssen is a research associate at the Institute of Economics, Professorship of Environmental Economics, at Osnabrück University. During her studies in international business engineering as well as in environmental systems and resource management she has focused on global supply chains and production networks, particularly in the context of food systems. The plurality of visions and perspectives people with various cultural and disciplinary backgrounds hold towards a socially equitable and environmentally sustainable future lie at the heart of her work. As part of the project, Carolin Janssen explores the implications distinct value chain-architectures may have on conveying the social and environmental consequences of purchasing decisions on consumers.
