Research Interests:

Socio-economics of migration, migration and cities, historical perspectives and colonialism, Chinese migration, comparative perspectives (regional focus: U.S.A., Canada, Germany), social reproduction in spaces of migration.

since 10/2024: Research associate and doctoral researcher at the Chair of Social Geography and Reflexive Migration Studies; Co-coordinator of the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) of the Collaborative Research Center 1604 “Production of Migration”.

2020-2023: M.A. North American Studies, Freie Universität Berlin. Title of the Master’s thesis: Chinese food network in British Columbia, 1880-1940. A socio-economic history of migrant entrepreneurship.

2022: Study and research stay at the University of British Columbia. Graduate researcher with Prof. Dr. Henry Yu (History, Asian Canadian and Asian Migration Studies).
